ENTER THE WORLD OF PIET HEIN EEK

Since 1993 we have been building a creative world full of art, design and culture. We entered the former Philips factory at Strijp-R in Eindhoven in 2010, and made a shop, showroom, gallery, event space and the workshop as the beating heart of the building. Twelve years later we have expanded to several restaurants where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in our Lobby Restaurant, have fries at FRIET and enjoy bites and drinks at our rooftop bar DAKBAR. In the summer of 2023, we will re-open our renewed Grand Café. 

PIET HEIN EEK

Piet Hein Eek graduated in 1990 from the Academy of Industrial Design in Eindhoven with the now well-known Classic Cabinet in Scrapwood. In a time of excessiveness and perfection, he opted for simple materials and a sober design. In the following years, the company grows and develops into a creative hotspot where everything can be found under one roof: restaurants, showroom, shop, galleries, hotel and the workshop. Where labor is increasingly moved to low-wage countries or is performed by computer-controlled machines, Piet Hein has kept his workshop in Eindhoven where every product is made by hand with great craftsmanship and an eye for detail. In addition, Eek is also involved in redevelopment, renovation and new construction projects with his architectural firm Eek & Dekkers.
